Williamstown is a town located in Pendleton and Grant (county seat) Counties, Kentucky. Even though it was originally founded in 1820, it wasn’t until the end of the 19th Century that Williamstown started to grow after the construction of the Cincinnati Southern Railway (1877). The building of Williamstown Lake (1957) and of I-75 (the 1960s) put Williamstown on the travelers’ map. Major Williamstown attractions include the Ark Encounter (a very impressive massive-scale educational attraction with close attention to detail regarding Noah’s’ Ark; ideal for visitors of all ages), Frank Webb Memorial Park, the Banjo Cellar (a great place for banjo enthusiasts), and Family Fun Park – Zip Putt Play. Regarding budget accommodation, most of the and nearby Williamstown offer good value-for-money rooms for under $70 per night.
